Sing A Song Of Church Night

In case you couldn't guess by the title Tuesday night is Church night around here. We're practicing for the singspirational in August. So, we ended up over at the Bellot's singing for about an hour. That's why my blog is so late. You can pretty much count on it being late on most Tuesday nights really.

Either way, I got up and got to work this morning and I'm glad to say things went very well. I started discussing real unit options with our first Giant level backer. He chose Undead as his faction and we're working together to make it something truly awesome.

Somewhere in my morning routine I took a few more pictures of the kids. I may eventually play a game where you try to figure out if they're old pictures or new ones without looking back at my previous posts. It wouldn't be easy. They pretty much like doing the same thing every day.

Once that little break was over I picked up my work on the game docs. I'm really making progress. Today something struck me that could change the way we're doing the world map. If it works the map will look better and be easier to code. I shot the concept to my junior programmer, but we haven't come to a firm decision yet. After around an hour I decided I needed a break. I took a little longer walk than usual because I was considering the whole world map thing. I took a few pictures and found a road I had overlooked before. I didn't go down it, but you can expect pictures of it soon :)

Those are papayas just ripening over the road. Once they're ripe they're anybody's game.

Once I got back home I worked on the docs for a hour or so more then cranked up Civ 5. It does have a lot of features that might work in WoM in the long run. We could offer more in-depth city management for those who were interested, for instance. Anyways, as soon as I called it a day the kids wanted to go to the sea. As usual I took them. Ben was in and Rachel out once again today.

Just before we left the postman brought a surprise. Needless to say we were very excited. It only took three weeks to get here, lol.

Having read the letter we headed out.

As we got down there Caleb noticed a fisherman coming in with his catch. Caleb got to help him get it to shore.

That's Mahi-Mahi (or Dolphin) by the way. They get it as fresh as it comes down here :)

After we got home Abigail found a mango seed that had just sprouted sitting on the ground. She grabbed it and we planted it.

After I got home I went to spend an hour on my maze generator. Three hours later it was time for Church. I didn't have it working like I wanted, but I was close. Well, we went to Church and while I was standing around thinking about it the answer came to me. About ten minutes after we got home I had it running like I wanted. I still have a lot I want to add, but it's working now, so that's good.

Anyways, It's been a rich full day for us. I hope it has been for you as well. Good night from Dominica!

    1. I'll let the kids know you messaged them Mom. We need to turn Skype on soon. Rachel's netbook has been acting weird.

Also, I need to get a new magic jack and have it put in the barrel. I want one that doesn't need to be plugged into a PC.

  2. It seems to me that y'all are so relaxed and at the same time get so much accomplished. It's got to be that things just aren't hurried there. Love you all! Great pics tonight, Jeremy! Loved them all.

    1. Things aren't hurried. That's a fact. I think that I'll be able to get even more done when we're in that other house. :)
