Behind The Pulpit Again

This morning I got up needing to put together another sermon. Brother Dilian is not well (in fact I haven't seen him on World of Tanks in days) and he asked me to cover for him. Needless to say, I was glad to help. We owe the Bellot's a great deal and it was nice to have the opportunity to do something for him. As usual my sermon was a simple collection of verses on a common theme.

Rachel stayed home with most of the kids this morning. Isacc and Felicity got pink eye. (DJ had it a few days ago, so we're pretty sure we know where they got it, lol.) Abigail is also not feeling very well. I left Caleb home just because he was already giving me a hard time before we even left for Church. Anyways, I took a few pictures.

That's the first land crab I've ever caught. I had the camera set to the wrong thing or the picture would be better. One of the neat things about this place is that you don't have to fight to make things grow. You have to fight to keep them from taking over. The smallest crack will end up full of seeds and sprouting plant life.

After Ben, Libby, and I got home Rachel made Mango Chicken and rice. It was good. A little too sweet for my taste (for a main course anyway), but it was still good.

As almost always we went to the sea in the afternoon. The kids managed to borrow a couple of masks, but the “warden” (the man who has loaned us the masks before) wasn't there. We still had a good time, but it underlines the fact that we need our own snorkeling equipment.

Other than that I worked on my maze generator and played a little Tanks. Tomorrow is going to be a full, busy day. I'm looking forward to it. For the moment I must bid you all farewell. It's late and we want to watch TV. So, good night from Dominica!

  1. Enjoyed the blog, but had to laugh. It made me think of the time daddy decided to cook supper and I think he put peaches in the chicken. None of us liked it. At least Rachel is experimenting.

  2. Did you say Libby kept that fish? How so if you don't have a tank? Also, the flower pictures are beautiful and those you took from what I think must be the roof of the church building were awesome!

    1. Libby didn't keep the fish. We don't have a tank at the moment.

I did take some of those pictures from the roof of the Church building. :)

  4. A good picture of Libby and hope the kids get over the pink eye very soon. I did church in Aiken today and it was a good lesson too. I really like the new preacher there. it is good that you can preach when needed but it is gift of gab thing you have. We have some johnny jump up coming up in the side walk cracks here and blooming also Isn;t it funny.

    1. I'm glad you enjoyed the service. Be sure to tell everyone we said "Hi" next time you're there.

I do tend to run on at the moth. Both times my sermon has run long, lol.

South Carolina certainly teems with life during the spring and summer. I was constantly fighting the grass determined to live in the cracks in our driveway. Still, there's a bit of a difference between the plan life here and there. I hope that you get to come take a look soon :)
