A Lot Of Weeks

It hit me as I was thinking of a title for this post that today is Tuesday. That's the day we landed, so it's kind of our anniversary, lol. I honestly had to think about it before I was sure it was seven weeks. It's amazing to think that it's been nearly two months. We've reached the point where the days are just flying by. Part of that is due to routine.

As all of you probably know, my morning through early afternoon routine consists mainly of working in one way or another. Well, today was the same. What was different, however, was that the forums were down for hours today. Leszek (the producer) was out of the office all day, so we didn't get it fixed up until late. Still, I just pressed on with the D20 System and made a lot of progress. In fact, I got caught up and worked through my normal break time. It was around 1PM before Rachel and I went for a short walk.

Before I get to the pictures of that I have to mention a couple of things. One, there was a big spider in the kitchen this morning. Two, Titus is four months old today. And here are some pictures to go with that info.

Anyways, we went on a short walk.

There are dogs, and hence puppies, all over the place. Fortunately, this is a rabies free island. So you don't have to worry about being attacked by rabid anything.

If I had a better camera that picture of the bird there would be clearer. We have no idea what kind of bird it was...

Once we got back I got some more work done on the D20 System. I basically started recoding it from scratch because my code had gotten kind of “muddled” before. Now it's much clearer and I am getting closer and closer to back where I was to begin with. Once that's done it's should only be a matter of days before I have it running combats and tracking everything in a combat log. It's all good stuff.

After I had worked until I couldn't work anymore I played a little dwarf fortress. After about an hour the kids wanted to go to the sea.

Once again the warden was down there. This time Ben was too.

He really enjoyed swimming around with a mask trying to catch fish. He failed to do so, but the fun was in the trying I guess, lol. As we left, the children spotted an interesting bug running among the rocks.

Once I got back I decided to play Tanks. An update came out today, however, so I ended up having to wait on it before I could play. While I was waiting I worked on my maze generator. I made a lot of progress on it. Soon I hope to be done with a bunch of the little details so I can start adding more generation methods to it. I plan to give it a wide range of methods so it can generate a number of different types of maze.

As I've finished that for the night and am still waiting on Tanks to update I decided to go ahead and write up my blog. I'm tired enough to want to get it done early anyways, lol. Thank the Lord, it's cooler today. (It was a little cooler last night.) I'm hoping that by the time we go to bed it will be cool enough to fall immediately to sleep. Either way, that's all folks! Good night from Dominica!

  2. Loved the pics of the kids as usual. Can hardly believe that Titus is 4 months old. You got some good close-ups. I also loved the pic of that little lizard or gecko in the flower, too. Glad you are getting so much done.

  4. There you are counting the days and weeks of how long you have been there so think about this when you are counting the time. That is how long it has been since we could get hugs or kisses from our darling grandchildren. Who we miss so very very very much. There is no way you will ever understand the heart ache we are going through because you have them all there with you. So have you hugged your kids today? I sure hope so. Because I sure would if I could.
The cow in the photo is skinny and so are the puppies.
Guess that is about all for now

    1. I don't hug them so much as I spend all day with them and take them out somewhere almost every day. Anyways, you know where they are. Come give them a hug :)

The cow was a little skinny. I'm not sure why. There's more than enough food around to fatten them up. I think it's a matter of where they're tied and for how long at a time. Of course, I'm no expert...
