A Whole Lot Of Nothing

That's what I wanted to be up to today. A whole lot of nothing. Fortunately, that's exactly how it worked out. I woke up at 6AM, brushed my teeth, grabbed a cup of coffee, and started goofing off. While I was tinkering on the computer Rachel got up and started making breakfast. Shortly after it was done she took Benjamin and Abby with her to town to get groceries. They picked up a number of things we needed and a few things we wanted. The list included milk and ice cream as well as a number of ingredients.

About an hour after they got back from town they wanted to go to the sea. Rachel left dough rising in the kitchen for when we got back.

We headed out in a mix of sunshine and clouds. We had both bright sun and cool rain while we were there :)

After we got back the dough had risen and was ready for baking. Within about an hour a very familiar dinner was ready.

It's 5PM and that's all I've done other than goof off on the computer. However, the kids are driving me nuts to take them back to the sea. I'm probably going to. I apologize in advance for all the repetitive shots of us at the beach. It's just pictures of what we do here, lol.

Well, we're back. We went through the graveyard to give you guys another glance at it. Plus, Rachel had never been to it and wanted to go.

I should have mentioned before that the guy with the masks wasn't there the first time we went. Fortunately he was on the second trip :)

We saw a lot. The schools of fish were gone, but there were a number of colorful tropical fish. I saw some kind of small black “angel fish” type fish as well as some squid (or cuttlefish, I'm not sure which). Libby even caught a fish with her bare hands. It was a little puffer fish just puffing it's heart out, lol.

Anyways, after two trips to the sea I am worn out. Dilian is still sick and I may have the sermon tomorrow. (In fact, I may have class and the sermon.) So, I want to be well rested. That in mind: Good night from Dominica!

  1. Glad y'all had such a good day. Looks like the kids really enjoyed the pizza; and Libby catching the little puffer fish was awesome! Tell Dilian I hope he feels better soon. I'm sure you'll do a good job with the class and sermon tomorrow, if necessary, though. Love you all, Mom

    1. Brother Dilian has actually gotten a little worse. We're cutting services short today and just having the sermon and Lord's supper.

Anyways, the kids did have a great time :)

  2. WOW I had not seen one of the the first white flowers in years my grandmother had those in her garden and called them spider plants. The first pink one looks like bleeding heart and Ms Inabid had those in hers. The tall one looks like a hibiscus and we even have some of those here. Jeremy didn't know you were so much into botony. The little fish Libby caught was so cute did she name it? I will be sure to tell Kevin he has a pen-pal. I hope you guys are respectful going through the grave yard as sometimes people conider them sacred places. It really has some nice markers there, are the real old?

    1. I'm not so much into botany as I am into taking pictures of whatever catches my attention, lol.

She did keep the fish. We don't have a tank yet. :)

    1. We love and miss you guys too.

I'm glad you got the tractor.

Lord willing your foot will heal up. Have you been watching your blood sugar?

See if the doctor can prescribe you a two week tropical vacation as a cure. That way we'll get to see you, lol.
