Friday Once Again
Before I dive in I want to share a couple of pictures Rachel took last night. Isaac and Felicity certainly love their little brother :)
Anyway, I decided to get up with the sun this morning. However, when I looked at the clock and it said 5:27 I went back to bed, lol. There is such a thing as too early. After I got back up I immediately got to work. All things considered I've gotten a great deal done this week. The game dev is moving along and I have high hopes that Worlds of Magic is going to be a true classic.
The first thing I had to do was work on the document describing exactly what the demo is going to consist of and how we're going to go about making it happen. I hope to finish it in the next few days. Either way, after I had worked on it for about an hour and a half I decided I needed to take a break before I picked up my forums and Wiki work. It was a bit of a change of pace so I wanted to clear my mind before I started. I took the opportunity to go for a bit of an explore. I walked quickly back to where I had left off the last time.
Before I reached the spot above I ran into Phillip John Baptist. He's the gentlemen who pealed the coconuts for me. I asked him where the path would lead and he told me I could either go further up in the mountains or back to Soufriere. I thanked him for the information and headed on.
It was a bit of surprise to run into an SUV back there. I have no idea who it belongs to or what they were doing back there. Still, it goes to show you that in Soufriere you are never really far off the beaten track. When I came to the fork in the road I headed back to the village. I didn't want to be gone too long. Especially with all the work I wanted to get done. I took more pictures along the way.
By early afternoon I was worn down. The kids wanted to go for a sea bath, so I took them.
I've started working on this post early actually because I hope to get more work done tonight and we are supposed to go look at another house in a little over half and hour. It may be a better fit for us until we can get the other house in Pont Casse.
OK, so since that last sentence we've been to look at the house and are back. It offers a LOT. It's in a cooler area, has a yard full of fruit tress, has two bathrooms, and even has a microwave. To top it off the owner if fine with us just leasing it for a month or two and it's still in walking distance to the Bellot's house. Here are some pictures.
We plan to find out Monday how long it will take to get the Internet hooked up and ask Ms. Heather if we can get out of our lease a little early. On the walk back from the house Dilian got us a bottle of milk from a local farmer. We pasteurized it as soon as we got it home and as soon as it's cold we'll find out how good it is. We may just start buying local milk :)
That's enough for now. It may not seem like much to you, but it's slap worn me out. Good night from Dominica!

Sooo excited about the possibility of y'all getting into a bigger house soon. I want to go walking with you too! The views are beautiful! Goodnight and love you all.
ReplyDeleteThe house in between this one and the one in Pont Casse is actually a little smaller I think. The yard is much bigger, however, which will be great for the kids. :)
DeleteNice house.
ReplyDeleteIndeed it is. Once we in it I can show you all shots of the inside :)
