Working And Walking
That's pretty much what I did today. I worked and walked, I walked and worked. I had a number of little details to add to the D20 System to get it ready for Gamescom next week. It's almost impossible to imagine anyone who isn't actually working on the game will notice, but I wanted it done just the same. I suppose it's a matter of finesse. If anyone does notice they'll be the kind of people who'll appreciate it. If not, it doesn't really matter because it had to be done in the long run one way or the other.
Tomorrow I'm suppose to add a few more spells to the lineup. I also desperately need to go by the forums. For the past two weeks I've barely been able to step in and say “Hi”. I should be able to get back in the forums routine next week and continue making progress on the actual development as well. A lot of this past two weeks has been a matter of building the framework and base mechanics of the game. We've gotten a lot done and expanding it should take much less time. (That's my theory anyway, lol.) All in all the game dev is really going great and I really love it!
After I got one of the three big coding tasks of the day done Elizabeth and I took a walk. She said she missed home, but has been here so long she'll miss it when she's gone. She's a deep thinker, lol.
I picked that fruit for her from the side of the road. I have no idea what it is.
Anyways, once we got back I dove into my work again. I accomplished task two of three fairly quickly and... and I have to stop here and point out that I'm being eaten by mosquitoes! They haven't been that bad so far and I almost never get bitten by mosquitoes no matter where I am, but they're in here munching on me tonight. We haven't had any prolonged heavy rains for about a week. I don't know if that has anything to do with these blood sucking monsters, but it is why the water tanks are almost empty again. If we don't get a good rain tonight we'll probably be out of water tomorrow. It's not like we're wasting it either. We are very contentious that the cisterns can be a limited resource. Either way, we're in the Lord's hands.
I took a picture of the Caleb and Felicity holding puppies before Rachel and I, along with three of our four boys, walked down to our local store. We found out we could get a lot of our daily use items from there. We bought toilet paper, flavor aid, and two dozen eggs.
Having successfully returned I completed the third of my great tasks and went on another walk. I wanted to see if I could reach the roundabout in half an hour.
I got there, but on the way back had a minor leg blowout. I have trouble walking down hill sometimes. I think I need to work on stretching out my tendons, lol.
That's it for today. I'm tired and ready for dinner and TV. So, goodnight from Dominica!

I saw a thing on facebook today that said if you put a hot spoon on a misquito bite for a few minutes it does something to the poison and make it stop itching. Haven't tried it but yu can.
ReplyDeleteThank the Lord, I basically never itch after I've been bitten. It's just the moment of bite that gives me any discomfort, lol.
DeleteI loved the pics tonight. Libby is so grown up now! I'm guessing you will find good homes for the puppies and their mom, but boy, the kids will miss them.
ReplyDeleteGet out the giant mosquito net we sent with Gabriel and drape it over your work space. Daddy and I will be using that mosquito net when we come----hahaha.
Love you all and can't wait till we get there to visit!
Mom E.
Children really do "grow up so fast". It's amazing how time flies.
DeleteI should have closed the outside door to our bedroom earlier. I don't dig working under a mosquito net :)
We're looking forward to your visit as well!
A happy Libby; What a great site!
ReplyDeleteA happy Libby is a wonderful thing, lol. Of course, she's happy most of the time, but it never gets old.
DeleteYou really need to come see this place UG.
Rachael is one strong lady with two boys on her.
ReplyDeleteThe place looks great.
How Cool does it get there?
Love, Aunt Sarie
You build up muscle mass as you have more kids to carry, lol.
DeleteThe place is great and it's gotten down to around 65 or so I would guess.
More pictures of the cabins and the rent amount please.
ReplyDeleteLove, Aunt Sarie
They are wanting EC$750.00 a month for the cabins at least. I can see about getting more pictures soon.
DeleteHow far away in Coulibistrie from you guys?
ReplyDeleteLove, Aunt Sarie
It's probably about 10 miles as the crow files. Figure and hour or so to get there :)
