Hanging Out Inside

Today was quite a change from yesterday. Rather than spending my day outside walking all over I spent it inside staying out of the rain. I finally managed to take some pictures of the kids that I'll share as I go. (This should make the grandparents happy.) I've also got a few pictures from late last night.

In any event, it was a day of work for many of us. I finally found a Linux distribution that would work relatively well on Rachel's netbook (I used Lubuntu for those who are interested) so she's back on the net with her own computer. It doesn't have a hard drive, but that really doesn't matter for most of what she does. On top of getting that taken care of I continued my work for Worlds of Magic's second Kickstarter campaign. The work is going well, but the producer got in touch with me today to let me know that we might have other funding options.

While I was doing my thing Rachel got the kids up and got the boys to working. They did a bit of cleaning, washed dishes, Gabriel made up some pancake batter and Rachel cooked up the pancakes. Tonight is going to be black eyed peas, rice, and cornbread. Fortunately I like it. I did find out that the store down the road carries frozen turkey, but I don't feel like walking down there today. Also, it's been raining off and on all day. I've only gone out once and it wasn't for long. We even had some thunder and lightning, which is a rare thing down here.

Sadly, that's basically the story for today. I'm wrapping up a bit early. I've spent the day wracking my brain and I'm ready for a bit of relaxing. Tomorrow I'll try to get more pics of the kids and the countryside. For the moment, goodnight from Dominica!

  1. Loved the pics of the kids. I had a busy day and it didn't rain on us in Aiken, but it's thundering and acting like it might rain now. Glad the boys helped Rachel.

    1. I'll try to get more pics of the kids today. And, yes, we're making the boys help more and more. They're too old not to, lol.

  2. I had too take Debbie Baird to pick up a mattress set she had on lay a way this after noon and she had to go to the bank and home depo and so it took us a long time. I had to put gas in the truck and it was $3.06 a gal. Anyway sorry I missed 2 visits from other friends today. But I figure hauling a mattress was the Lords work as it was helping a person in need of help. Love those kid pictures and more of those are always appreciated. I also like the flowers but the landscapes are not my thing.I did like the little snail too

Not everybody likes landscapes, lol. Still, I like to show people how beautiful it is here.
