One Hundred Posts

So, time really does fly when you're having fun. It's hard to believe that it's been a hundred posts since we arrived in Florida. It has been quite a wild ride. This entire experience stands out as one of the most adventurous things I've done in my life. Moving with your wife and seven children to a tropical island is not for the faint of heart or weak of faith. At least if you're not a multimillionaire and have think about things like how much eggs cost.

Still, we're hardly pioneers. We came to a place loaded with people and were met at the airport by members of the Church (which basically means members of our family). We've lived in two nice rental properties so far. We had electricity, running water, and high speed Internet from the very beginning. Our hardships have mainly centered around not having air conditioning or a local Wal-Mart.

Even though that's the case it's still been a challenge. It really makes you appreciate just how tough and faithful the pioneers really were. I feel like we could have been pioneers, but I'm glad we didn't have to, lol.

Anyways, I had another busy day of work today. I'm making good progress, but it's going to be few weeks before I can let up. The team count is now up to nine members. Everyone is working hard to make this happen. I think we're going to end up with a real winner :)

While I was working away Rachel went through the house and took some pictures.

The last one was a dead moth she found just setting on the back steps.

Later in the day, just before I started working on this, I decided to pull Alec's camera out of the rice. It looks like it's back in business.

OK, so it's kinda short for a 100th post, but what do you want from me? I'm working and working. I was up late last night and early this morning. I'm worn down and have got to wedge some relaxation in before the weekend is over. So, with that in mind, goodnight from Dominica!

    1. It really is a tropical paradise. I hope to find the time to walk a little further down the road today. I may even try to talk up into some of the jungle, lol.
