Not So Busy

Today was a lot calmer than the last few days. All things considered it was a day of rest. I did have a little writing to do. I had e-mails to take care of and forums work to handle and an update for the kickstarter campaign, obviously. Still, I was able to get a little rest and things came in at a nice reasonable pace so I didn't feel flooded at all today. In fact, things went so well that I decided to pack it in early and watch a little River Monsters while Rachel was in town with the baby handling a doctor visit and doing a little shopping. I should have known better I guess, lol. After just a few minutes Ben came in to let me know that his computer was randomly shutting down.

By the way, those first pictures are of leaves on the ground. It got cool today. Fall is really here *sigh*. It's just going to get colder and darker from here on out and more and more leaves are going to end up on the ground.


Anyways, I gave Ben a few pointers and tried to go back to watching my show. No good. Minutes later he came in to tell me it wouldn't start at all. Well, after a fairly exhaustive number of tests I came to the conclusion that the mother board had died. Another little “Don't bother trying to save” thrown my way. It doesn't matter, I'm still not going to give up trying to save, lol. Either way for the moment there was nothing to do but order another board, so that's what I did. Thank God I've got the money.


Another little annoyance from this morning was the fact that I couldn't find a publisher to submit to again. This was the second day in a row. I gave it an hour, but I didn't have time to spend all day on it. I feel certain it's just a matter of finding another pocket of information. Almost since I started I've been working from lists that other writers have put together. Sadly I've already worked through the lists I'd found. Still, it's just a matter of putting in the work and doing the research. And who knows, I might hear back from the publisher that got in touch with me last week any day now.


As you can see from the screenshots above I got a little time to play SWTOR and the KS campaign is going very well. In fact we're already 20% of the way to the next stretch goal. The really good news is that we haven't even attracted much media attention yet. We feel certain that we'll get some before this is all over and it's the kind of thing that kinda feeds itself.


Before I run (I'm still trying to watch River Monsters) I want to point out that Alec took the picture of the dog's mouth and asked my to please put it in tonight's post. Also, Abby took a bunch of the other pictures while I was working on one thing or another.
