A Little Longer Post

So, it was probably fairly clear that I was rather burned out last night. My post was short and there wasn't much to it. It's not that there wasn't anything to tell, it's just that I didn't feel up to the telling. I decided to start working on it a little earlier today so I'd have time for a little back tracking. First I should mention that Ben's computer seems to be doing very well, but his video card also died. I don't know if the video card and mother board issues were related, but I'm going to have to try to get him a new card soon. Still, I'm trying to make good purchasing decisions so what I buy will last a while. Take those solid state drives from the other day. I could have gotten a much larger drive for less money to get Rachel back up and running, but I decided to shell out the extra for the solid state drive. Was it worth it? Well, Felicity tripped on the netbook's power cord, snatching it out of Rachel's hands and consequently slamming it on the floor. It shut down immediately. Rachel turned it back on and windows gave her a “windows has recovered from a critical error” message, but that was all. It started up and worked normally after that. So, in my mind at least, it was worth every penny to get the solid state drives.

A number of the pictures are of what the boys did yesterday. They were paid to go split logs at Granny's. Even Caleb got in on the action. While they were doing that Rachel was washing clothes. Our washing machine is still down. However, Dad E. tested the drain pump today and it's fine. So, whatever the drain problem is, it's not the pump. That's not much fun. It may mean that the control board in the washing machine has gone bad. Ah well, whatever will be will be. I'll just do my best to get it fixed. In other news Rachel bought an adapter for around $7.00 that makes using the dish washer a lot easier. It's a real blessing considering the number of dishes we need to wash each day.

Anyway, that's enough for the flashback. Today has gone very well. I've found another publisher to submit to. I didn't get to it today because they want a two page synopsis and I don't have one made up yet. (I have a one page and three page, but no two page.) Either way, it seems my “look for lists” method is going to be successful. I'm just hoping and praying I can actually get a bite. I've put a lot of work into writing. I really want it to pay off. I'm also hoping to hear from that first publisher early next week. Keep me in your prayers.

As you can see in the screen shots it's been a good 24 hours or so for Worlds of Magic. We're up over the $15K mark and have gotten a little media attention. We're hoping for more before the end. I had to write up two fairly long updates today. One for the original kickstarter, one for the new one. I also had to handle my e-mail and forums work. In some ways it's been a busy day, but it's also been a very good one. I even found a little time to go play SWTOR while I was waiting on comments about the updates. Both of them were well received and I expect we'll get a little extra backing out of it all.

Either way, the time has come to wrap things up. The last few days have very good. Lord willing, the trend will continue. We would really like to raise at least another $50K with this campaign. There's a lot we want to add to the game. In fact, we have stretch goals right up to the $100K mark. Anyways, I'm running on, so I'll stop. Good night from South Carolina!
