Up To Nothing
The title of this blog describes both how I felt and what I did today. I felt “up to nothing” and I was absolutely “up to nothing” as much as possible. I had to stray off the “path of nothing” a few times, but I may be able to make up for it tomorrow. If I don't feel better I'm not sure I'm even going to go to Church. I've got a bit of something going on with my sinuses and was sick on my stomach for a good portion of last night. I woke up in better condition, but I'm still not feeling great. I think part of it is just being burned out from having so much to do. I wanted to explain the situation because there's not much to tonight's blog just because we didn't do much more than lay around today.
Before I delve into what we did do I wanted to share some pictures from after “blog time” last night.
The first is obviously Titus asleep in his new chair. The second is my glass of chocolate coconut milk. The third is the bread that Ben made almost completely by himself :)
Anyways, I woke up late today after a fairly rough night of crazy dreams. It's gotten hot again which is no help when you really need rest. After I finally got up I worked on my e-mail for an hour or so. Then I took a little time to work on my maze generator. I started working on a new algorithm today. It went well considering how I feel. Then I started gaming. Alec and Gabriel played Haven and Hearth with me for a couple of hours (Ben had been playing with us, but has moved on to something else). After that they watched me play Mount And Blade Warband for a few more hours.
At some point Rachel bruned herself making bakes and I had to finish cooking them. Then she sat down to find that her laptop wasn't working. So after I got done cooking I had to work on that.
By the grace of God it started working again. I'm not sure what was wrong with it... Computer play was our entertainment today as I didn't feel up to taking the kids to the sea.
Near dinner time Rachel decided to try to make corn dogs.
It didn't work out so we're having hot dogs baked in cornbread, lol. I think it will taste good just the same.
Either way, I'm not feeling good, so that's it from us for now. Good night from Dominica!

Raw coconut and coconut milk can really tear up the digestive system. Be careful. Good to see all of you!!
ReplyDeleteWe've been eating it for a while. Brother Freddy stopped by for a second last night. He said it was probably the water. It seems that whenever we get a lot of rain we should boil the water before we use it. I guess there's more water passing through the treatment center than it can handle. :)
DeleteI'm sorry, but the corn dog things made me laugh out loud. (You know how I am.) I'm sure they tasted fine, though. What a face Gabriel was making about something-----couldn't figure out what was making him make that face. Hope you feel better tomorrow, but if you don't, just rest and take it easy. Love you all, Mom E. Oh, I enjoyed skyping with the kids tonight even though they couldn't see me----at least I could see them!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed it. Y'all can probably skype more now that it's setup on Gabriel's computer.
DeleteI'm still not 100%, but I think I'm going to go to Church anyway :)
