Recovering
Once again I slept well last night. I woke up with the alarm at 6AM and jumped into my normal morning routine. Our 2D artist got a concept sketch of the world map to me this morning. It looks really good. If we can achieve that kind of look with the game things will be great. The rest of my work was pretty much average today so there's not all that much to say about it. Things continue to go well. That's the main thing :)
I got a picture of the morning view around here as well as some of the rain that kept coming and going all day.
Brother Freddy showed up around 10AM with a laptop he wanted me to take a look at.
It turns out the screen is shot, but other than that it looks like it's in good shape. We're going to try to order him a new screen in the next week or so. Which brings to mind the other computer parts I'm having brought in. I think they arrived at Mom and Dad's today. It's a video card and a couple of heat sinks. And just thinking about the boys coming in brings to mind our extension. Rachel and I have got to go look into that next week. We have to get new tickets out of the country (we're going to look into ferry tickets) and talk to the people at the immigration office. There's a lot to be done, but we should be able to get to it next week.
Anyways, around 2PM some of the kids wanted me to take them to the sea. It had stopped raining for the moment so I took them. We got caught in the rain while we were down there, but we still had a good time.
By the time we got back from that I called it a day as far as work was concerned. Ben and I had a few loves of bread to make and I had to reheat some dinner. Rachel's still not feeling 100%. She is feeling better, so hopefully tomorrow she'll be at least close to back to normal.
Also, Rachel got some pictures of the chickens sneaking in the house.
This may be a short blog, but it's been a long day, lol. So, good night from Dominica!

Well I hope everybody get well soon.
ReplyDeleteI might get a job at Blackbaud, which would be good.
Pray for us.
Love, Aunt Sarie
P.S. I will pray for you and yours.
I hope you get the job! Things are going very well here. We have to re-establish ourselves, but that's to be expected, lol.
DeleteWe love you guys too!
I had a very lazy day today. Some days are just that way. Glad you took the time to blog. Love y'all. Mom
ReplyDeleteSome days are like that :)
DeleteHappy 4th of July may we be able to celebrate many more as a family.
ReplyDeleteI hope to at least visit some day.
Is Ponte Casse the cool place?
If I were to come over I can't take the heat anymore I would need a cool place to stay.
Have you guys taking the air trolley through the jungle? It sounds like it would be fun.
I am going to try and get a couple of computer jobs at home maybe I can make a living that way, which would mean I could work anywhere.
Love, Aunt Sarie
You would certainly enjoy a visit. Really, it's not even that expensive. It just gets expensive when you have 7 kids, lol.
DeletePont Casse is cool. It's basically perfect from a temperature point of view.
Being able to work from anywhere is a real blessing. Keep trying until you can :)
