Time Flies

So, the day ran out on me like crazy... I worked through my lunch break trying to play some catch up. It didn't work out quite like I wanted, but I got what I had to done today, so that's good. And really from a coding point of view I got a lot done. That's not to say I did a lot. It's just what I did accomplished a lot. My D20 System Asset now supports damage reduction. A lot of you don't know what that means, but it's great. Trust me :)

Anyways, just as I got done for the day I found out that brother Freddy would have time to run us out to Pond Casse. So, we decided to go ahead out there and take a look. I needed to be shown a few things before we went to move in. Today was a good day to do it so we did.

Earlier in the day Rachel had to go to Roseua to get a few things and met George and Yvette (I don't remember their last name and I'm not sure I've spelled her name right). They have been living in Soufriere for about a month. They have two boys (the oldest one is 14) and live very near Brother Dilian. They dropped by the house on the way to the sea to let the boys meet each other just before we left for Pond Casse.

When we got there we were greeted by Maurice who was overseeing the repair and cleaning up of the property. He and his wife were actually the architects who designed the house. I have to say that they did a good job. He's a very friendly man and we'll be able to get in touch with him any time we need anything. (Although he will be gone for the month of August.)

Obviously we took a few pictures to share with you guys.

We also took these pictures.

The first fruit is guava-cherry and the second is bird banana. The guava-cherry tastes kinda like a strawberry and the bird banana tastes... well... like a banana. While we were sitting at the stand where we got the fruit (which, by the way, is run by Josian's Uncle Christopher) we bumped into Laetitia and her husband and their children. They live in or around Pond Casse and are members of the homeschooling association. They were out for a walk and Laetitia recognized Rachel from Facebook, lol. We'll probably see more of them once we've moved out that way.

So, I'm all worn out... That's it for tonight. I hope to do more tomorrow. For the moment, however, goodnight from Dominica!

    1. We are certainly going to miss being near the sea and until we get our own car there are going to be some adjustments to make. Still, it's worth it to be in the cool and the quiet, lol.
