On to San Juan

So, we got up around 7AM and started loading up the van again shortly after. All things considered the kids were in good spirits. I think the incredible excitement was mainly able to overcome their exhaustion.

Steve was good enough to take a picture of us just before he headed back North. It took our poor socially awkward home schooled children all of about 15 minutes to make a new friend once we were in the airport.

After around 2 hours patient (well mainly) waiting we got on board the plane to Puerto Rico.

Shortly after that we took off. Caleb was amazed by flying for about 10 minutes, but then he got over it.

Looking out the window as you're flying over the Caribbean reveals scene after scene of miles and miles of empty ocean. However, it's worth keeping an eye out anyway for what you see when it's not just water.

After just over two hours we arrived in San Juan. Caleb had terrible ear pan from the change in pressure. But after a few minutes on the ground he was OK.

There's more to the story, but I'm exhausted at the moment. I hope to do another post tomorrow :)

  2. Oh, and it looks like they DID let y'all board the plane first. I thought they would!

  3. I am so glad I found those shirts for the girls as it looks like they fit and they look cute together. I also was thinking I recall inside a plane was a bit chilly for my taste back in the day when I traveled so the long sleeves were ok for traveling in. Got to go for now.

  5. Just a note from an observer at the airport and on the plane. The kids were extremely well behaved, sweet and friendly and funny, Dad was the one bouncing all over the place! ;) Good luck to your family in the future.

  6. Mom, thanks for the shirts and thank Steve for the hat :)

Thank you for the kind words Island Woman! They are fairly well behaved even though I do tend to bounce off the walls, lol.
