A Hard Days Night

Greetings all our family, friends and well-wishers. As some of you may already know we left our home at Williston SC at roughly 10PM last night. Our brother Steven drove through the night with Ben at his side while the rest of us sat here or there in the back of the van packed in between luggage or strapped in car seats. By 11AM we were checked into our rooms here in Fort Lauderdale. This is one of the things we can see from our room:

Not too bad even if it took a little more than twelve hours to get down here. We've still got a ways to go and an almost unfathomable load of luggage that has been loaded into the van, unloaded into the room and that Rachel needs to repack more efficiently tonight. Even with our current level of exhaustion the kids still want to get out and have a bit of fun.

Tomorrow at this time we should be on our way to Puerto Rico. I hope to take a few pictures at the airport and in flight as well as from the hotel there. For the moment I'm too tired to do more (and have an e-meeting in a couple of hours) so, I'll just leave you with a couple more pictures :)

Keep us in your prayers. We're super tired and still have a lot to do and a long way to go, lol.

  5. Dad said that is a banyan tree and when he was a kid in Coral Gables Fla he used to tie knots in the young roots that were hanging down so they they would have knots in them when they were this big.
