A Lazy Afternoon

So, last night was Friday night, which is more “laid back” than “party” in general I believe. However, last night there was certainly some “party” going on. I awoke at some point during the night and somewhere between 10 and 20 young adults (and possibly teenagers) we standing around in the street right outside our window talking and laughing at full volume. I don't know how long they stayed because I went back to sleep. When I woke up later they were gone. Even with the interruption of the night I still got up at just after 6AM. Jesse was home this weekend and had time to tank. So, I got up, got my work done and got on WoT. I probably played six hours today. I had maybe ten wins. Ah well, what matters is “how you play the game” after all.

After Jesse had to go, Caleb wanted me to take him down to the sea. So, he and I snuck out of the house and went for a quick sea bath.

As soon as I got back I made a few phone calls and ended up getting back on WoT with Daryl. Rachel cooked up a little more chicken and noodles for dinner. (It as also a very economical meal.)

After Daryl had to go the girls asked me to take them to the sea. As Felicity and Isaac were asleep I could just walk them down there and give Rachel a few minutes alone with Ben and sleeping children. So, that's what I did.

While I was there I thought to take a picture of the spot in Gallion where I had taken the pictures of Soufriere from yesterday. (Sadly only those with eagle eyes can really make it out.)

It was a quiet, peaceful, restful day for which I was very grateful. Tomorrow we have Church and we are suppose to meet some other homeschoolers down at bubble beach so the kids can meat each other. Next week I need to work on getting my first money transfer heading this way, which probably means trying to setup a bank account. We also need to start really talking to some realtors. We have an appointment to go look at that house we want Tuesday, but I'm not sure it's going to happen. We don't have a car at the moment, so getting there is going to be a challenge. Still, I'll mention it to Dilian tomorrow and see what can be done.

That's really enough for now. Rachel, Abby and I are supposed to watch the season finally of Once Upon A Time and then I'll probably watch Andy Griffith until bed time. As Captain Ron once said “Have fun! Cause I gonna!”

  1. Love the pics of the grandkids as usual and the stunning views too. Oh, how I would love to be there, giving you and Rachel a break, and taking the kids down to have a "sea bath". However, if I were taking ALL the kids, I would want grand-daddy and probably Ben and Gabriel there too. I don't think I could out-run Caleb, Felicity, and Isaac all at the same time------hahahaha. Glad you are enjoying life to the fullest. God has blessed you richly! Love you all!

  2. Oh, please try to get lots of pics of the homeschool group at Bubble Beach tomorrow. How far is that from where you live? Hope the kids will have a wonderful time. I'm also wondering if Bubble Beach is some kind of hot springs?

  3. Glad to see you guys doing so well so far! I hope it works out well there because Jerry and I would love to come for a visit. Sadly, it will probably have to wait until I'm done with grad school as we don't have the money now, and I won't have the time to travel once grad school starts. So, that means you guys have to stay down there at least 4 more years. ;) Hope that's not an inconvenience. :P Love you guys and miss you!

  4. We are looking forward to having company down here. And, for the moment, our calender for 2017 is fairly empty. So, we can certainly pencil you in :)
