Taxes, Taxes, Glorious Taxes

My title reflects how people who are on the collecting end of taxes may feel. The rest of us feel a little differently about them. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm certainly a “render unto Caesar what is Caesar's” type of guy. However, I'm also the type of guy who hates spending time he could be using for more constructive purposes tallying up just how much he owes to Uncle Socialist... Ummm... That is to say, Uncle Sam... Lol.

Either way, tallying was what I had to finish up today. Lord willing, tomorrow is going to be very different. I'm finally going to be able to jump back into my Worlds of Magic work. I not only intend to do that, I intend to do it with both feet! There's a lot I have to do in the coming weeks. I think the first thing I'm going to do is put together an up to date ToDo list. There's just too much to keep track of in my little head.

Today's blog is going to be a little short. I've been busy all day and I have some WoM work do tonight as well. So, on to the pictures!

Those are some views of the countryside around here. It was on our way from the house to the gas station Mom Y. wanted to go to. She had $0.45 a gallon off for shopping at Piggly Wiggly, but only at participating stations. To get there she took the back way :).

After that it was on to the Walgreen's! They sell ice cream and fresh milk there. Just like almost everywhere else in this country.

From there we stopped at the tax man's office and dropped off all my info. He said it would be ready by Friday, so that's good news! After we were done with that we stopped at the K-Mart and headed home.

Once we were on Douglas Drive (the road Mom and Dad Y. live on) I had Mom Y. stop so I could take pictures of James Brown's gate and guard house.

I know that most of you know that Mom and Dad Y. live on the same road as the late James Brown did, but I couldn't remember if we'd told our Dominican friends about it and I figured they might find it interesting :)

That's it for tonight guys. Tomorrow I don't even know if I'm going anywhere. I have a lot of game work to get done and everyday I have less to time do it in. So, goodnight from South Carolina!

  1. Yep, the good old godfather of soul. He sang happy birthday to my father-in-law standing out in the yard one day. They had the same birthday :)
