Lots To Do
So, one of the reasons I forgot to blog last night is that Joey came by to visit. At the moment we don't have a place of our own, but as Mom Y. put it “Joey is people.” So, he got an invite to come visit us at the Hall of Yates. He hung out for hours and we talked about the gaming business and what have you. We had a great time and he didn't leave until hours after my normal post time. By the time I thought of it I was far too tired to do a post.
Anyways, today was mainly about work. In fact, the work load has increased to the point that all the programming responsibilities have been taken off my shoulders. I've got enough to handle with design and management, so we decided to leave programming to the programming team. What that means for me is less work. What it means for the game is (probably) faster development. We'll see how it goes over the next few weeks. We hope to have something to put in the player's hands shortly.
I got word that my taxes are done, so I need to pick them up tomorrow and get them mailed off. It's not fun, but at least it will be done. I'm hoping I don't owe anything. If I do I may have to make arrangements to pay it. My funds are at a low ebb at the moment. It cost us a great deal to get home, we had just paid the rent and bought a month's worth of groceries, and I have to pay the October rent on the house in Pont Casse as well. All things considered I could use a real financial break. Still, the Lord's watching over us. We're housed and fed and I thank God for it.
If you're wondering where I took the pictures they're all just shots from up and down Douglass Drive. I stayed at the house all day working, so there wasn't a lot of new photo fodder around. Either way, the views are pretty and give people a good idea of what rural SC looks like.
That's all for the night. It's been a long day and I suspect I've got a few more of those before I'm done. Of course, Lord willing and it won't be long before I break through to the other side and will even be able to find the time to work on some of my up and coming projects :)
Anyways, goodnight from Dominica!
