Relaxing Saturday

This morning I got up late, which was fine all things considered. I'm resting up for next week when I plan to crawl back into my design work. I really want to have the game “finished” from a design point of view before the end of the year. Then I'll be able to focus on leading up play testing and balancing out the numbers. I also want to work on my writing and start working on the design doc for my next game (I actually have several in mind). Obviously Worlds of Magic has to be my priority, but I'm really ahead on my work for two reasons. For one thing I started work months before the rest of the team. The other thing is that the fan base is really helping me shape the game. It's amazing how many truly clever ideas the community has to offer.

So, what have I been up to today? Well, I did have a little work to start off with. I had to write a couple of updates. We posted one at Noon when the Kickstarer kicked off the 24 hour countdown. We've raised over $28K and expect to cross the $30K mark before the end. I also had a little e-mail and forums work to handle. On top of that I had to have Rachel take a “portrait” photo of me for that article in PC Powerplay magazine. Once I got that done (which was really early) it was time for a good goof off. I played SWTOR for several hours. I also plan to jump onto World of Tanks for a little while. Me and Dilian keep missing each other. Eventually I recon we'll end up in the game at the same time, lol.

This is a short post for a lazy day, lol. So, goodnight from South Carolina!
